When getting lip fillers it is very important to convey exactly what you want. Bringing goal photos is always helpful to achieving the look you want. One method of analyzing lips is the ratio of upper and lower lip volume. Classically, a 2:1 lower to upper lip ratio was preferred. More recently, preferences have changed to a more even 1:1 ratio. Recent scientific studies demonstrate an “ideal” ratio of 1:1.6 While these ideals are something to consider, your personal preference is most important as there is a very wide range of what is considered attractive. My personal advice from doing this for over 20 years is to be conservative.
