...i'd forgotten just how much i'd planned this bit out. anyway. apparently i do have a whole timeline of how i think the circles fell across 9:37-9:41. which i mostly still agree with i think? under the cut for obvious long reasons
25 Justinian 9:31 - The Libertarians propose a motion to pull from the Chantry at the College of Enchanters. It is rejected.
30 Harvestmere 9:31 - The Starkhaven Circle attempts to rebel. It is burned to the ground and the mages are relocated to the Gallows.
28 Cloudreach 9:37 - The Last Straw completed. Maeve leaves on Isabela’s ship with the remaining Kirkwall mages, Fenris, Anders, Bethany, Nathaniel, Linae, and, of course, Isabela.
3 Harvestmere 9:37 - Markham Circle rebels. Over half of the mages succeed in escaping and the remaining are shoved into other Circles and replaced by mages from elsewhere.
17 Firstfall 9:37 - Part of the Perendale Circle rebels. The First Enchanter of Perendale, some of the Senior Enchanters, and a small number of Templars destroy a large amount of phylacteries, and then flee.
28 Firstfall 9:37 - The Chantry decides to “reorganize” many of the Circles, transferring many mages around in an attempt to separate the Libertarians and prevent any more rebellion.
29 Wintermarch 9:38 - College gathered. Briaus voted out of his position. Fiona named Grand Enchanter. A vote for the Circle to separate from the Chantry is proposed. It is rejected.
30 Wintermarch 9:38 - Vivienne named First Enchanter of Montsimmard.
2 Guardian 9:38 - The College of Enchanters is officially dissolved by the Lord Seeker and meetings are prohibited.
24 Solace 9:38 - Ghislain Circle attempts to rebel. Most of the attempted rebels are killed upon exit, but some manage to escape.
16 Harvestmere 9:38 - Morrigan arrives in the Orlesian court.
21 Bloomingtide 9:39 - Some of Jainen Circle rebels, but the Circle manages to stand. The escaped mages are, technically unofficially, given refuge by the monarchy of Ferelden.
28 Haring 9:39 - A Senior Enchanter attempts to assassinate the Divine at a ball thrown in her honor.
22 Wintermarch 9:40 - Briala takes control of the Eluvians. Celene and Gaspard return to their factions. The War of Lions truly starts.
20 Guardian 9:40 - The College of Magi convenes at the White Spire, though without the Montsimmard First Enchanter, the Ostwick First Enchanter, the Dairsmuid First Enchanter, and the Jainen First Enchanter. It is interrupted by the Lord Seeker and the surviving mages retreat to Andoral’s Reach.
9 Drakonis 9:40 - The Montsimmard Circle, Hasmal Circle, Antiva City Circle, and the Dairsmuid Circle affirm loyalty to the Chantry.
12 Drakonis 9:40 - Templars at Ansburg Circle attack the mages. Those who can flee do.
17 Drakonis 9:40 - The Circle of Dairsmuid is annulled.
23 Drakonis 9:40 - Antiva City Circle rebels.
27 Drakonis 9:40 - Some of Hasmal Circle attempts to rebel, but fails. The rebels are killed, leaving mostly loyalists behind.
28 Drakonis 9:40 - The Mages vote to officially leave the Circle. The Rebellion begins, leading to the majority of Circles who haven’t yet fallen rebelling.
2 Cloudreach 9:40 - The Templars at Ostwick Circle attack the mages. Any mages there flee.
4 Cloudreach 9:40 - Cumberland Circle rebels.
9 Cloudreach 9:40 - Montsimmard, once again, affirms its loyalty to the Chantry.
19 Cloudreach 9:40 - Cole kills Lord Seeker Lambert after he declares the Nevarran Accords broken.
30 Cloudreach 9:40 - Ghislain Circle erupts into outright warfare, mages and templars fighting both each other and inside their ranks. Many from all sides manage to escape, but none of the apprentices and few of the Tranquil.
1 Justinian 9:40 - Calenhad Circle rebels and most join the Mage Rebellion.
18 Justinian 9:40 - The Templars at Perendale Circle attempt an annulment. Perendale Circle flees and makes to join the rebellion.
17 August 9:40 - Jainen Circle attempts to rebel, and fails.
24 Kingsway 9:40 - Hossberg Circle effectively falls off the map. Neither the rebellion nor the remaining loyalist mages can get in contact.
11 Firstfall 9:40 - The Ferelden monarchy declares the Calenhad and Jainen Circles officially dissolved and take in the Mage Rebellion.
27 Solace 9:41 - The Conclave begins.
30 Solace 9:41 - The Conclave explodes. The Breach opens. Aeonar falls into the Fade.
