I used to converse with the night sky before when I lived at home. I had a perfect view of the stars and moon on clear nights from my window. I'd just sit there and talk through loud thoughts, cry sometimes but also smile and giggle. I continued until I had gotten everything off my chest, life things that I didn't feel I should share with anyone, or couldn't. The stars were comforting but the moon filled me with awe and an odd sort of pride. I made sure to sit by the window whenever there was a full moon, because that was an extra special time. I hope to move somewhere sometime where I can have a clear view of the sky from a big window again. I miss talking to the night.

The reason I need you to be the one to go first is because it has always been me. It has always been me to make the first move, say the first "I love you" each time, the first "good morning" of the day, the first to ask "how was your day?", the first to notice when something was wrong, the first to apologize even when I was the one being hurt needing an apology because I just wanted to know things could be mended, the first to ask about going out for a date, the first to double text. I have always been the one to lead. Every time, I was left being the first, and only one, to want to work through things. The only time I was second, was when it came to walking away from the relationship.
