Two years. Almost two years.

November 29, 2023. Created as a fan character for SeasonTale. Whose purpose was to indulge my hyperfixations.

Y’all wouldn’t believe me if I said that Rain, now human and in her own world and story, first started out as a fanon depressed sister of a Sans AU.

I don’t know how to put it into words, but out of all the characters I’ve made have created throughout my life, Rain has and will always have a special place in my heart. It’s crazy to scroll through my old works and see how different her old lore and designs are compared to now.

Now this may sound too sappy, but she is one of the very few characters who has been in my journey ever since I finally had the courage to post on the internet so there goes one of those reasons why she’s my favorite lmao-

But seriously.

I cannot believe how far she’s become. How she turned from a fan character to an original one. All the support, fanart, and love that she has received from the fans. Hell, some friends of mine made rain personas for her old world.

I suck at putting this into words, but Rain is a constant reminder to myself, that despite everything, it’s still her. It’s still you. In the storm that will always rage on, there remains a serenity in the eye of the storm. There’s lots of personal stuff about me that I’ve inserted into her as she changes, and she has become more than a character. A reflection.

Thank you all for the constant support, even when I had to leave to focus on myself. It’s an amazing experience to have you in this journey.

You will see her soon in her own story. But not now.
