Small context: My version of Calypso took over as Captain after chapter 4 and built up the crew again after their deaths (taking into account the three survivors from pre-rewrite)
So this is a more canon-accurate scenario where that didnt happen
The disheveled pirate look out of the cart she was traveling in. Numerous people passed by on the trek up the mountain.
...There wasnt a lot of cars traveling this route. Trinity was always old school, preferring tradition over the new inventions of the cities. Though this tradition included magical ways as well, so frankly it wasnt the worst. Just... old.
After the temple, the crew had fully disbanded. The first mate gave everyone a fair share of the treasure found-and held a memorial for the rest-before they all set back to bizville and went their separate ways. She'd rather they kept adventuring, but the other three all said no... and she didnt want to go with just *her.* Yet the first mate recommended they see their families again, so here she is. Heading back to the place she abandoned years ago.
...Even from outside of trinity, she could feel eyes on her. It always promoted a positive mindset as dying too negatively would turn you into korblox. On top of that, it was pretty heavily guarded. With some of the strongest knighted force located within its walls. Yet here she was, a criminal looking the worst probably anyone in this damned kingdom is.
Ignoring the stares from the merchants, she pressed onwards into the kingdoms grounds, past the castle, and into redcliff. Their old house was in this faction, and if she was lucky... theyd still live there.
...though lucks been kicking her ass recently.
Aaaand her streak continues as getting to her house and asking for an "Emerald Reyna" has been met with disappointment.
"She's not here, Ma'am. Moved a few years ago, sorry bout that."
"May ye have any idea where she be?"
"None. Goodluck on your search."
"...Aye, thank ye..."
Turning to go, she swore she heard them mentioning about a dirty pirate looking for someone to rob. That wasn't her goal, not here anyways... she wouldn't be caught undead living her life of crime out in Trinity of all places.
Yet for now, she continues her search. Throughout a good chunk of redcliff. Some people didnt know, others ignored her, and others would just tell her to leave because after all what is a pirate doing in Trinity.
...Whatever. She didn't feel like messing with the astral isles, and entering splintered skies would basically be a death sentence so if she doesn't find anything here then shes leaving.
"Reyna? Ah, you're from out of town! She's an emerald guardian, dontcha know! Located up in the castle."
Of course the strongest and most special got a spot in the castle. By the time she learned the information, it was already getting dark. That's... a job for tomorrow. She has quite a good amount of tix from selling the treasure, so she can get herself an inn room.
...She can't sleep, so she takes a walk around Redcliff. For a brief moment, she considers going to a tavern, but it would be an even worse sight to end up back at her room drunk. Instead, she sits at one of the bridges over the river.
The stars always shine brighter in trinity, reflecting off the water. A sign of the high-mages influence over the land. Yet the sights not all that different to the nights on the ocean, no light to pollute and dim them while sailing. It had only been maybe a week, but she already missed it... the smell of salt water, feel of the breeze, the-
