I’m a con-artist, an artist of consciousness. I’m a soul forger. I’ve duped even the devil. Sold him one soul and made myself another. But here's the catch, see... the mephistocated treasures I was gifted in return are so ahead of their time and out of their mind, that they’re difficult to sell. It’s over everyone's heads; I'm in over my head. Heaven’s sense sounds like madness to man—to paraphrase Melville. I know, I know. It sounds contrived. "The starving artist, oh so misunderstood." I know, I know. "His work won’t be appreciated until he’s dead and gone, and transmitting from the pre-recorded beyond." I know, I know. It sounds grandiose, delusional, conceited, and alter ego-maniacal.
