For me; love has been a cold, long, tiresome battle, Oh how the thought of it just makes my spine rattle. I've taken years I spent, love I've showed, and my heart I gave it all. But in return, I'm left with all the hurt feelings that you have morbidly stamped upon my heart and slapped against my soul. It's hard to believe that you once had my emotions spiraling out of control. I saw you hold my heart with your bare hands, But without ease, you let it drop as it shattered into thousands of pieces until it became grains of sand. Now I'm left picking up all the pieces because of your careless ways. Why you did it? You never did say.
