Welcome to the 'ckret2' room.
Butterbun changed their nickname to Starscream.
Starscream: *There were some major perks to living in one of the nicest buildings in what was an admittidly better rebuilt city than it had been a few months ago.*
Starscream: *Perks like, say, a really nice meeting room, the kind you used to impress or intimidate others. Though Rodimus probably wouldn't recognize intrimidation if it punched him in the face.*
Starscream: *Either eay, at exactly ten minutes before the scheduled time, Starscream will already have his elegant aft parked in the nicest (biggest) chair in the room.*
Butterbun changed their nickname to Starscreams.
Prowl: *Prowl's been there for however long he was allowed to wait in the room, sitting in the chair to the left of the biggest chair in the room, predicting that one would be Starscream's.*
Prowl: *and WHAT DO YOU KNOW.*
Starscreams: *The wings on it were a dead giveaway*
Prowl: *admittedly, it wasn't a very hard prediction*
Rodimus: *naturally he is 5 mins late exactly*
Windblade: *and Windblade will show up exactly five minutes before the scheduled time. which is NOW unless y'all have anything you want to say to each other before people start showing up.*
Prowl: *that would involve TALKING to Starscream. Which Prowl isn't going to be the one initiating.*
Starscreams: The sooner we get this started the sooner you can get off my planet.
Windblade: [[ ... wait isn't the scheduled meeting time "at dawn" ]]
Rodimus: *smiles* That's the plan stan,
Drift: *Drift will be at Rodimus's shoulder the whole time. Probably won't say anything unless he need to reel Rodimus in.*
Drift: *... Or Starscream violently offends him.*
Rodimus: *glancing around the meeting room he smirks. it is obivious in such a hastily rebuilt city that lot of time and money went into this room to make it "fancy"*
Drift: *...... Or Prowl does.*
Starscreams: *Excuse you, the city is actually looking pretty nice thank you very much.*
Rodimus: *wouldn't know*
Rodimus: Hey guys~ We going to just get right into this or doing small talk first?
Prowl: Get right into this.
Prowl: *any time skipping the small talk is an option, skips the small talk.*
Rodimus: *glances at Prowl oh so he has made it out side his box*
Prowl: *did you just notice that he's here*
Rodimus: Star let you outa your cage?
Prowl: Was the offer to skip the small talk rhetorical?
Starscreams: No, it wasn't.
Starscreams: Rodimus, I have been informed on some rather interesting facts. Facts such as that *points vaguely outside* is not actually the Crystal City from this universe.
Rodimus: *tsks* Whee is the hospitialy. Oh well, as much expected--- so you got the multiverse talk already then?
Rodimus: Or has it already been happening here too?
Prowl: *slight hand raise. gave him the talk.*
Rodimus: *plops in a chair and sprawls out*
Starscreams: Well I wouldn't know, actually. Something about having an inoperable space bridge seems to slow down the overflow of alien immagrants.
Drift: *sits more professionally next to Rodimus*
Starscreams: *side glance at Prowl*
Prowl: *poker face*
Rodimus: *nods* Thanks Prowl saves alot of time. You dont need the space bridge in operation for the mutliverse to find you.
Starscreams: Ye-es. You know, I find it interesting that when you first invaded our airspace, I requested to be told about anything of major importance.
Rodimus: Any reports of doubles, or mechs coming back from the deaht? Or weridos claiming to mecha they are not?
Starscreams: And yet for some silly reason, this whole 'multiverse' thing didn't come up as important to you?
Rodimus: It's... something better explained face to face
Drift: *stiffens. They didn't "invade" the airspace of their OWN HOME PLANET thank you very much.*
Starscreams: You seemed to think that getting your vagabonds cleared for shore leave was the most important thing.
Rodimus: *holds up hands* Cool your jets, Starscream. How was I supposed to know that Cybertron our home palent was going to refuse us landing and disembarking?
Prowl: I'm certain Rodimus intended no malice. He simply has difficulty prioritizing.
Windblade: *has been sitting straihgt-backed, stony-faced, and coldly silent since she came in. will comment when and if it's necessary.*
Prowl: *for some reason, Prowl thinks that comment will help improve things.*
Rodimus: *rolls eyes*
Starscreams: Or returning calls, or scheduling meetings, or listening to clear instructions...
Starscreams: But I digress. *bares his teeth in what might be a smile*
Drift: *slightly bares his teeth in what definitely isn't a smile*
Rodimus: *pats Drift its fine they knew what this was*
Drift: *yes and it's still unbearably obnoxious*
Starscreams: Since we've had a laughably short amount of time to look for the symptoms of this multiverse, no, I can't say that we've found any duplicates or undead mecha.
Drift: *there are three and a half Autobots in here, they can take Starscream.*
Starscreams: *Excuse*
Drift: *JUST AN IDEA*
Rodimus: Past is past. You know what the big thing I couldnt tell you on comms now. Multiverse. So whats the plan? How you going to handle it?
Starscreams: I'm not sure that's information you need to know, actually, since this is a matter that concerns Iacon.
Rodimus: I can almost granrent you got SOME multiversual mechs running around.
Prowl: *would interrupt and point out that's irrelevant; but is curious about how Starscream would answer*
Prowl: *and, that's the answer he would have given himself, so his curiosity will wait for now.*
Rodimus: It matters for the fact a metrotitainfull of mixed multiversual company is requesting to land.
Rodimus: ..Ok not full but there is a good number of them.
Starscreams: Ah, yes. Crystal City.
Rodimus: *holds up hand* They are all nonalinged.
Starscreams: ..and? Cybertron has rejected factions, if you don't remember.
Prowl: Starscream has already been informed that they come from a universe without factions.
Rodimus: *mutters you have rejected them*
Prowl: *he's ALSO been informed that a good number of them followed their own Starscream, so there's that.*
Rodimus: ...You just want to tell me what you already told him so I am not just repeating stuff? Primus.
Starscreams: Cybertron has kept its arms open for NAILs up to this point. Faction or lack thereof will not see these mechs tossed out.
Rodimus: Well if you are willing to not fire on them as they land I can go onto the next part.
Prowl: The basics. A space bridge jump landed us in another universe; we overthrew a government and freed some slaves; some of them came home with us in Theophany.
Starscreams: What I need are facts, Rodimus. What condition is Crystal City in? How are his energy reserves? Will Iacon be required to support him?
Rodimus: *great you told him I have a space bridge didnt you*
Rodimus: *two*
Prowl: *of course not*
Prowl: ((I DIDN'T MEAN TO SAY SPACE BRIDGE JUMP))
Prowl: ((I meant to say quantum engine jump))
Rodimus: ((lol np
Starscreams: ((*casually edits Starscream's hearing*))
Prowl: ((that was a mun slip, I was thinking "okay Prowl DIDN'T mention the space bridge..." while I was typing that sentence. And so of course I typed "space bridge"))
Windblade: [[ *casually edits Windblade's too* ]]
Rodimus: ((np! its why I *checked*
Prowl: ((""""checked""""))
Windblade: [[ nobody heard anything about a space bridge. all is well. ]]
Rodimus: *nods*
Rodimus: Ok then, so I will be speak for Theo--Theophany on this part so I am just middlemanning.
Starscreams: *holds up his hand*
Starscreams: I asked you questions, Rodimus.
Rodimus: *opens then shuts mouth*
Rodimus: I am going to answer them..? *helm tilts*
Starscreams: Somehow I have my doubts, but please. Continue.
Drift: *if you want Drift to remove that hand from Starscream's wrist...*
Starscreams: *rests his chin on one hand*
Rodimus: His condition is as stellar as a post an 8 million year nap gets. Tanks are full he aims to land on the old sight of City City. They wish for equal treatment as trade partners with Iacon as a indepent
Rodimus: city state
Starscreams: Hm. Have they said specifically what it is they intend to trade?
Prowl: *quietly pulls out a datapad to jot down a question to ask later*
Rodimus: Self refined Energo. They already have the factories built, menned, and workers trained. To mas sProduce the forumla I distrubed. Also art and culture.
Prowl: Their economy will collapse when Iacon gains the means to produce its own energon.
Rodimus: There is also many skilled labor forces we have lost and schools are being established currently.
Starscreams: *Thank you, Prowl*
Rodimus: I am not privvy to their long term goals any more than I am to yours.
Prowl: Then why are you representing them, rather than bringing someone who IS privy to their long term goals?
Rodimus: I am only giving what I have. I could ask but I dont see why you need them.
Starscreams: Yes, actually. Who is the current leader of Crystal City? If Iacon is to trade with them, then they'll be far more important as a contact.
Prowl: *quietly deletes question from datapad*
Rodimus: Ring. A monoformer that fought with me in freeing the slaves and slag.
Rodimus: They will be an elected consual once they hold their first election. 13 members that turn over once every 100 years.
Prowl: *isn't going to point out that Rodimus didn't help free the slaves*
Rodimus: *excuse he would have if he was allowed*
Starscreams: *curls his lip* Fantastic, a council.
Prowl: When is their first election scheduled?
Rodimus: 5 years
Prowl: *glances at Starscream* Any alliance we make with them now could well be void in five years. Perhaps we should hold of on doing any business with them whatsoever until after their first election.
Prowl: **hold off
Rodimus: Its a panel currently. They open open planning and meeting sessions with voting a deliberation monthly currently.
Starscreams: Mmm. We could probably deal with trade agreements needing to be renwed on that timetable, but five years is just enough time for a political alliance to get past the initial stage.
Prowl: At which point it will be immediately thrown back into turmoil.
Rodimus: *going to start spacing off oh windblade tiny wave... oh she looks annoied at something*
Starscreams: If it's an unaligned city then I know there will be citizen drift, no doubt about it.
Drift: *doesn't blame her*
Drift: *nods to Windblade too. sup.*
Windblade: *"""annoyed"""*
Windblade: *the words you're looking for are "incredibly pissed off"*
Drift: *it's okay windblade. starscream has that effect on everyone.*
Windblade: *it's not Starscream.*
Windblade: *okay it's a little bit Starscream.*
Drift: *really? because that looks a hell of a lot like an "I'm sitting next to Starscream" face*
Rodimus: @Windblade+Drift :;Sup Windy? You look ready to knock the talking heads down of their high horses*
Windblade: @Rodimus, Drift ::You know what he did. He should be in prison, not... HERE. Doing THIS.::
Prowl: *vague hand wave* We can discuss that with Ring later.
Drift: @W+R «Yeah, I know. Tell that to the people who elected him.»
Windblade: @Drift, Rodimus « Elected...? »
Starscreams: True...
Windblade: [[ haaaa i forgot what punctuation windblade uses ]]
Starscreams: Rodimus. Is there currently a Cityspeaker for Theophany.
Drift: @W+R «It was before you got here. Why did YOU think he's king of Cybertron?»
Windblade: @Drift, Rodimus « I'm not talking about _Starscream_ »
Rodimus: @Windblade. ::..Yeah. Did you at least get energon shipments set up to go to your ---::
Rodimus: I am, I guess if you want to use that title.
Drift: @W+R «Oh! Never mind.»
Prowl: He served as Theophany's cityspeaker on an emergency basis during the battle on the other Cybertron.
Starscreams: Ah. Then Theophany will probably need to be found a new Speaker.
Windblade: ... hmm.
Rodimus: I can do it without much taxing to my spark or processor
Prowl: You won't be here.
Starscreams: You?!
Starscreams: *laughs*
Rodimus: ...If they need a city speaker or not its not of your concern.
Starscreams: You're leaving this planet as soon as you've dragged the last of your mechs out of my bars.
Rodimus: *taps chest* THeo can call me if he needs anyways.
Prowl: Agreed. It's neither our concern nor your concern. We can set aside the issue and move on.
Rodimus: *riases brows its fine Prowl your cant understand the conection*
Windblade: *aaand the frown has changed from a "why the *** is this *** here" frown to a pensive "that's not what city speaking is about" frown*
Rodimus: Ok, how are you going to treat Multiversual mecha?
Prowl: *had that connection, thank you*
Starscreams: I have no objections to Crystal City returning to its rightful place. IT'll probably be more comfortable than trying to remember it
Starscreams: 's sixty miles north of where you remember.
Starscreams: I believe I already answered that question with 'that's none of your concern'.
Rodimus: It is Crystal City's as i am currently their intermediate.
Prowl: *slight hand raise* Hold on. Rodimus, you thought that there might be something strange in the remains of Crystal City, where Shockwave put his plan in motion.
Starscreams: ..is there something left there?
Starscreams: *maybe they DO need to move things sixty miles to the north*
Prowl: Before we make plans to set down a multiversal duplicate of the same city in the same place, perhaps we should investigate the ruins to ensure there's nothing that might... react.
Prowl: I wouldn't put it past Shockwave to cook up a backup plan that involved a cross-verse duplicate of the city landing at ground zero.
Rodimus: It is an odd signature. But that is why Theo wants to land there.
Starscreams: *arches an eyebrow*
Starscreams: And that cements it.
Prowl: In case you forgot, Shockwave was also very good at getting people to want to do exactly what he wanted them to do.
Rodimus: I can take a team to prep the site.
Prowl: *nods*
Starscreams: Theophany will be allowed to land, but until an expiditon has been sent to the remains of Crystal City that spot is off limits.
Windblade: I don't know a lot about Shockwave, but... it seems it might be in Theophany's best interests to avoid that location.
Starscreams: Excuse me? Why are you sending a team?
Rodimus: *shrugs* That's what I told him too. But he is set on it.
Rodimus: Because I have the tool to fully investage it.
Prowl: Why not let them send a team? Under the circumstances, I'd think sending as many teams as possible would be most wise.
Rodimus: ((tools*
Prowl: ((rodimus, that's not a nice thing to call your crewmates))
Prowl: ((even though most of them ARE complete tools))
Starscreams: *looks rather like he's struggling with the idea before he grits out a reply* Fine. But naturally the team won't be just of mechs from the Lost Light.
Rodimus: ((lol matrix and brainytech
Rodimus: We can do a joint thing.
Prowl: @Starscream «I also have multiversal contacts who could aid in the investigation.»
Rodimus: I'll ask Crystal City to send some too.
Starscreams: <<..acceptable.>>
Rodimus: Now back to the question. Will muliversual mechs be treated as equal?
Starscreams: Again, Rodimus. Demonstrating that lack of comprehension are you?
Rodimus: Just answer it.
Starscreams: Rodimus, do I tell you what to do with the mechs on your ship?
Starscreams: No, because I can actually recognize that unless those mechs have done something that holds them accountable in Iacon, those mechs are yours to manage as you see fit.
Starscreams: I don't understand why you seem incapable of reaching the same conclusion when it comes to Iacon and myself.
Prowl: Starscream is well aware that if multiversal mechs are not treated as equal, then he will be losing my support and that of the Constructicons. *as of right nowm he knows it anyway.*
Prowl: *glances at Starscream* Isn't that right?
Windblade: *aaaand it's back to a "why the *** is this *** here" frown*
Starscreams: *waves a hand, sure sure*
Rodimus: Am I not a Cybertorian? Do you not claim to be a leader of our people? Yet you are refusing to answer a simple question that concerns a citzen.
Windblade: *if it weren't for the fact that she agrees, of COURSE multiversal mechs should be treated equally, she'd be advocating for locking them all up and throwing away the keys just to get Prowl off the """
Windblade: team""". and while they're at it, lock Prowl and his COnstructicons up and throw away the leys.*
Rodimus: I am personally involved with Crystal City many of them have become my freinds and battlemates. I will do anything to keep them from being wronged.
Prowl: *Rodimus shouldn't be refusing to acknowledge Starscream as leader of all Cybertronian people and then appealing to Starscream's supposed authority as "leader of our people"*
Rodimus: Being Theo's current voice I will protect his interests as if they are mine. Since he intend to make Cybertron his home it concerns me.
Starscreams: You are the captain of a vessel that will HOPEFULLY be leaving soon.
Starscreams: You are not a citizen of Crystal City, you are not a multiversal mech.
Rodimus: But right now. In this room I dont sit as Captain Rodimus. I am Theophany's Primal voice, his concerns and those of the city he support are mine.
Starscreams: You are not Theophany's Cityspeaker or leader. You were only invited to this meeting as Captain Rodimus.
Rodimus: So yes, it matters to me. If you cannot answer these concerns and require time. We can return tommorrow.
Prowl: ... Even IF he does not NEED the answer, StarscreamâI question why you feel you cannot give us one.
Starscreams: If you are no longer serving in that position then I invite you to leave.
Rodimus: *heavy sigh and rubs face*
Rodimus: @Drift ::They should just land on Luna II this is so sstupid...::
Starscreams: I have not yet reached a descison, because I didn't learn about this phenomenon until roughly ten days ago.
Starscreams: Rather than the two months that I could have had to prepare had Captain Rodimus been forthcoming with information.
Drift: @Rodimus «Mhm.» *as the representative for multiversal mechs in this room, he's more than a little nervous due to Starscream's lack of an answer*
Rodimus: ((dont you dare put a time on how long it took
Starscreams: Since it is Crystal City that has the highest known concentration of multiversal mechs currently, it is with Crystal city's leaders that I shall be reaching a descion with.
Prowl: ((fine, then pretend the times are replaced with {a short undefined time ago} and {a longer undefined time ago} and move the hell on))
Starscreams: Does that statement satisfy you as a citizen, Captain Rodimus?
Rodimus: Your inablity to answer the question speak volume eough.
Rodimus: It should have been simple.
Starscreams: Your inability to reacognize an answer that does not agree with how you personally would handle this speaks just as loudly.
Starscreams: What does the Lost Light require to get off of Cybertron.
Rodimus: *stands and stretches* "Nothing that concerns you."
Starscreams: Excellent. Then I assume as soon as the exploration of Crystal City's ruins are over with we can expect to see you gone.
Rodimus: ...Wait. Are you kicking us out?
Prowl: Is there anything further required in this meeting?
Prowl: We've already ruled out small talk as an option.
Rodimus: ...Is my crew allowed to enter Iacon yet?
Drift: *is ready to be kicked out. is so ready. stood as soon as it looked like Rodimus was going to stand*
Starscreams: Did you bring with you the basic scans that I finally managed to wrest from your inability to share anything useful?
Rodimus: *he is standing just giving a whaaaaaaa face*
Rodimus: Yeah I got those no parasites.
Rodimus: No rust.
Starscreams: *holds out his hand. Give.*
Rodimus: Filed it with Tracks already. You can go pull it up.
Rodimus: ((tracks was in iacon// I THINK
Prowl: ((yeah he is))
Rodimus: Anything else?
Starscreams: *put upon sigh. At least this barely passed for obeying the power structure*
Starscreams: No.
Rodimus: Windy can I talk to you once you got time? Just meet me at my ship. *nods to Prowl and give Star a flippant lazy salute before turning to leave*
Drift: *quickly follows*
Starscreams: *sighs and slumps into chair* Remind me why we can't just shoot the Lost Light.
Prowl: War, Starscream.
Starscreams: Damn.
Prowl: You need to contact Theophany immediately. Rodimus will report to them as soon as possible, he'll be spinning the story as negatively as possible, and he's regarded as a living Prime and their savior.
Prowl: You have made them our enemies and we need to contain this fast.
Starscreams: Oh, of course. Naturally it's my fault in this.
Starscreams: It isn't as if Rodimus is the one trying to force things to go his way on a planet he doesn't even live on anymore.
Prowl: Oh, shut up. You could have lied.
Starscreams: And have him express disbelief and choose to antagonise me anyway?
Starscreams: Hardly. At least this way he'll be forced to confront the fact that I was telling the truth and he simply does not like it.
Prowl: And all of Theophany's residents will hear his side of the story.
Prowl: The point stands. They will be enemies unless you make contact as soon as possible.
Starscreams: *siiiiiiighs and rubs his temples*
Starscreams: Do you have the comm information for this... Ring?
Starscreams: Ring. What sort of designation is that. And a monoformer to boot.
Prowl: Preferably /right now/. Tell them what you told Rodimus but tell them diplomatically.
Prowl: Lead off by stating that you would LIKE to be able to treat them the same as any other Cybertronians, and that you hope you will be able to do so.
Prowl: The only reason you cannot yet is because of the novelty of the situation and that, for the safety of /your people/, you must take every precaution.
Starscreams: I can be diplomatic if I need to, PRowl.
Prowl: Yes, and you did an excellent job today.
Starscreams: I didn't shoot him.
Starscreams: I call that excellent diplomacy.
Prowl: I call that bare minimum diplomacy.
Prowl: I don't have her contact information. Aim a ping toward Theophany, explain who you are, ask them to patch you to their leader.
Prowl: Better yet would be to visit her.
Starscreams: Of course. Of COURSE he'd keep the contact information for the current leader of Crystal City to himself.
Starscreams: It isn't as if Iacon might need to call them up and begin hammering out trade agreements and alliances, noooo.
Prowl: He thinks he can be the intermediary.
Starscreams: I think he can pilot his asteroid of a ship into the heart of a star.
Starscreams: I suppose there's no other way around it but to visit them in person.
Starscreams: *Too bad your alt doesn't fly, Prowl*
Prowl: *glitch get him a shuttle*
Starscreams: *ugh fine*
Starscreams: ((I almost thought PRowl could drive out there but then i remember Theo hasn't landed))
Prowl: I suggest you prepare your comments before meeting with them. And quickly.
Prowl: And don't try to tear Rodimus down, that will only turn them against you.
Starscreams: Ugh.
Prowl: Undermine him with praise. "In his enthusiasm to help your people and his concern for your well-being, I fear he may have misinterpreted what I said..."
Prowl: You can make him sound like the idiot he is, but do it with compliments, or they won't listen.
Prowl: ... And do it more subtly than you did at Megatron's trial. That was pathetic.
Starscreams: Would it make you feel better to write me a script?
Prowl: No. I'll edit.
Starscreams: Fine.
Starscreams: *are they done?*
Prowl: *for now. prowl will be waiting with a red pen.*
Starscreams: *Secret calling in life: Editor*
Prowl: *prowl wears many hats*
