Review// BlackSwan EP - BlackSwan

Finally, finally after waiting month after month we've got it here in our hand, or more likely on our computer screen. Black Swan is here. The Dallas based duo consists of lyricist "ATG" & talented producer "VohnBeatz" If you didn't already know that where have you been these last 6 months? 

Well one of the most anticipated project of the year has finally dropped, hopefully it lives up to the hype. 

One thing that I've got to point out about this ep is that it's entirely consistent. There's no bumps & potholes in the road along this journey. I think that's mainly prevalent because of Vohnz production. Mainly consisting of keys, and chords. It's all just extremely consistent. Which is a great thing in this case. I'm really feeling the intro track on here "Who I Am" It does an excellent job of setting the tone for the rest of the project. Another thing this project is completely barren of features, well besides the 4th track "Bridges/Toni" while i'm in the process of listening is my favorite track so far. The 2 part track transitions extremely well. Both equally pleasing to my ears. One thing that I dislike about this project lies within ATG's lyrical content. He talks about the same stuff throughout most of the project. I understand the duo wanting to be super consistent, 

But there's a thin line between consistency, and redundancy. 

But on the other hand he makes it a big point to keep it 100 within his lyrics and I can respect that. 

All in all the project is very quality, and I mean quality within every avenue. Especially compared to some of these other artists releases. 

I think this a magnificent debut for the duo. I just hope with their next body of work they expand outside of the realm of Black Swan.
