there was a considerably large line struck between sehun and nayeon and sehun had like to keep it that way. especially with the ‘boyfriend’ title hanging over his head in the mention of nayeon and sehun can’t help but draw a thicker line between the two. the distance to save their friendship, he supposes. 

but to say he didn’t respect the fire pun would’ve been a lie. and the affectionate attentions given only heats the blood round his cheeks, a smile beaming towards the floor, the enjoyment of the compliment fluttering at his chest, but only slightly.

red, that’s sehun’s favourite colour. red for fire, the fire that burns in him. but sehun is far from red, there is no identification tot he colour red (he lies to himself). red is loud, bold, angry and sehun is anything but, he is quiet, still and level-headed, well, that’s what he says to himself. and he’d like to keep it this way. 

he lives like that, mind cautious, heart wary. he won’t allow this impulsive thought processes taint his mind and recklessly tossing his heart in gory display. it’s about control, control and of course, control. 

control creates him and will hold him. fires don’t, fires burn him and everything else. 

the only fire manipulation sehun does is the oppression of his abilities. 

oppressing it for only so long though. (fire rages beyond his control.)

a shove in the shoulder, a good two or three snarky words jarring itself into his heart. and that is really no good, sehun’s ribcage can only contain so much heat. “you want to fucking say that again?” he murmurs, his chest grumbling at the culprit, his eyes flickering with a sense of burning disgusts, pent-up hatred. 

oh sehun isn’t a hostile character but his limits are being breached and his heart rate flies with adrenaline and vexation, it’s normal to want to tear someone apart.
