Eotyrannus was a tyrannosauroid from the Wessex Formation Beds in the Wealden Group on the Isle of Wight in the UK. It is known from a skull and a partial skeleton of a juvenile and was probably up to 4 meters long, maybe even bigger. It is known from the Barremian age of the Early Cretaceous, about 130 million years ago. It was still a fairly primitive tyrannosaur, giving its long arms and long snout; in fact, it has one of the proportionally longest hands among non-avialan theropods to date. This confirms the idea that early tyrannosaurs were gracile, with long forelimbs and long grasping hands. It probably had feathers.
