Levis sucks at doing pda. This dude. is AWKWARD if he's interested in you or whoever this guy is interested in. Under normal circumstances he can flirt with girls, even guys if he felt more revenge-induced than usual but the moment it's someone he's interested in--OHOHOH this guy is not an expert.

So you see, when it's the opening ceremony of the Trimagicathon, Darren is immediately greeted by the girl who made her life hell at Walkis. Getting water splashed onto her. Taunting her. Calling her names. Even bringing up things that would cause her already rocky reputation in Easton to crumble further. (More than drugs) But girlie takes it a step further by dragging in her friends, Wirth and Rayne specifically in to really make her snap in an attempt to disqualify her from competing for violent behaviour before the competition.

So Levis dissipates the situation through fear and demonstration. He steps on the girl's shoe while his Magnets magic is active, crushing/crippling her foot within seconds. "Levis! Why did you!?--"

"Shut up. You're not even qualified with your loss streak."

His dismissive yet annoyed tone made her back down.

The thing is, by this point in the story he's well acquainted with Darren well enough and was sceptical she was friends with Charles Contini who she gave a homemade bento much to his confusion when they met. They were on decent conditions as well.

He's like talking with Galuf, Malcolm, and Kenny who technically knew her while she was still in Walkis. She was pretty strong but also a pain in the butt. Mainly in the way she was never referred to by her name but rather her title, 'Wandless Psycho'

Levis knows the whole story of her frustration and even condones it. But he's confused by how overprotective Wirth is over her and even Charles Contini's relationship with her. So he investigates.
