Recently had the privilege of shooting @nasa launch of the Mars InSight Lander. This is the first interplanetary mission launched from the west coast. While waiting for the 4am launch, I passed time by watching Interstellar. What stood out to me is that in the film, the journey to Mars takes 8 months. The Insight Lander’s journey will take 6 months. The Lunar eclipse was absolutely stellar! It was a bluemoon because of two full moons in one month, a supermoon because it was slightly closer to Earth, and a lunar eclipse because the Earth was blocking the sun from the moon.
