saw someone compare "bomb that kills all white people" to "bomb that kills all tmes" which. no.
but why no?
white ppl are an inherently privileged class. in every aspect of society your life will be easier if you are a white person. which is a bad thing! racism is bad! im not going to comment much on the "bomb that kills all white people" beyond this because it certainly isnt my place but! i still wanted to bring it up.
now. i dont believe tma/tme are terms with any real weight behind them because bigotry and oppression are far more complicated than any binary could express BUT! people who do like those terms generally take tma to mean "trans women and transfemmes" and tme to mean "literally everyone else." now. even without getting in to the intersexism and exorsexism that runs rampant in these communities. do you see the problem with that? tme doesnt just include the cis people who are privileged and perpetuators of transmisogyny and transphobia. it also includes trans men and transmascs. trans people who dont consider themselves transfemme or transmasc. intersex folks who dont fall neatly into what a tma person is generally supposed to look like. and many others who i may be forgetting atm. and from WHAT IVE SEEN in MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE a lot of the times the groups who say stuff like "bomb that kills all tmes" mean transmasc people. mean nonbinary people. mean intersex people. that joke is not a joke about a privileged class. it is making a joke out of saying you want to a group of people who are all incredibly oppressed. which in no way can be read as punching up.
so maybe it is a "joke." but if that joke were sayd about any other oppressed group would it still be funny?
