no matter what shaun said to him or how abusive he was to him michael still loved him like a hit dog whining at his foot and begging for somebody anybody to love him.

And now that shaun is gone all he has is his organs and viscera to remind him of the brother he once had. the only person who loved him even in that sick and miserable way. Only shaun truly loved him. Not his parents who sent him away. Not the friends who abandoned him. Nobody stays with him but Shaun and i think he’d cling to it.

it’s about madonna getting backlash for writing about sex but sex could also double as biological sex, “i didn’t know i couldn’t talk about sex” being that milo didn’t know he could talk about being transfem. And then the “im not sorry” could be her stating this about her identity and the murder of her mother, that its human nature to be transgender and its human nature to fight back against abuse.

(also that it’s human nature to express herself like she did in the journal which was frequently taken by her mother. “express yourself don’t repress yourself” as in fight against your mothers abuse or willingly assimilate.)

“would it sound better if i was a man” can also double as “would it sound better if i wasn’t your daughter” because mary had to sacrifice her FAMILY so if milo wasn’t related to her she would feel bad. “would it sound better if i was your son” also, because Mary would have some sort of resentment against milo. see “you’re the one with the problem” and “im not your bitch don’t hang your shit on me.
