Virtual Excursions Australia Victorian Workgroup Meeting
Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending this meeting @ ACMI in Melbourne. It was wonderful to have a collective of like minded people at a point in time where interest in specialist content delivery to schools is so high. We have the technology, we are hungry for quality content in education. This is even more important for rural and remote schools but it bridges the distance between States in relation to accessing the best we have on offer. Yesterday our meeting was linked live through to Sydney. Many of the issues are common and by bringing the key players together we can look towards ensuring improved quality and audience engagement.
It was interesting to hear the history of development in DART in NSW and to hear how one Museum goes about planning its content programs. Looking forward to subsequent meetings and networking.
I extended an open invitation to Perfecting the Blend in December - it would be wonderful to have more National representative delegations.
