He was persistent. Effy had finally agreed to snuggling up next to Viro, after much pleading (begging) on his end. Without warning, Effy pulled back from the kiss and gave Viro a hard shove, knocking the man off the couch entirely. She'd often been told she was tiny but mighty, full of a surprising amount of strength for someone her size.
