When owning a dog, it was only natural to want to take them for a walk. Among other things, it was a great bonding activity and provided exercise for you and your pet in a fun and healthy way. ...Shinkai, of course, did not own a dog. But did this stop him from attempting to walk Usakichi? Not at all.
And so here he was, outside, leashing his bunny and letting it hop as it pleased. Who was walking who, honestly? He didn't seem to mind -- when did he ever, really -- just making sure the small and inquisitive creature stayed out of harm's way. Thankfully the streets were rather calm today, only a few people here and there walking about around them. It made the experience that much easier--
Just as he was to relax even further, however, with breakneck speed and questionable strength his rabbit companion would bolt, his soft grip on the leash easily leaving his hand. He could only watch in temporary horror as Usakichi ran towards the nearest bystander, stopping just in front of him and raising onto his hind legs. He sniffed the air, tilting his head. What had gotten into him!?
Shinkai was quick to follow, catching up with his pet and kneeling down to pick him up with ease. "Sorry. He's, uh..." Seriously, what had gotten into him? Usakichi wasn't one to just take off like that... but he did have a good judge of character. As good as a rabbit could have, he guessed. With a perplexed smile, he continued.
"Well. He must be interested in you." The redhead looked down at his pet before regarding the stranger once more. What an interesting look this guy had, not unlike the man he had met at the convenience store some time previous... Weird, but intriguing. And if Usakichi had a good feeling, then...
"... ...Would you like to pet him?"
