They squeak up at Salil. It's decidedly a sound they inherited more from Miranda's side of things than Aaravi's, though their tiny hands, plated in little lavender scales, are a more even mix as they press something into Salil's hands. It's a piece of paper, and Virina even has the crayons still in their front pocket.
They speak softly, quietly as ever, like they are still unused to it. "I drew you-"
"Huh? What's this?" Salil gently took the paper from the child, his heart already soft from just seeing them. It also made him happy to see just how... Happy they were, how well loved. He was proud of Aaravi for that, for making sure her child would feel so loved and he was thankful to Miranda for it, little Virina got to know love that... That wasn't there in the family before.
He took a look at the paper, he couldn't help but smile.
"Is that me? Thank you, I love it."
