hanluke is full of yearning and PINING and strong emotions. but they're so...different; and tbh if they were in a romantic relationship, i think those differences would end up being their downfall.
BUR HERE'S THE THING, those differences are the building blocks of their awesome friendship. and i rly rly rly love their friendship. so my take on hanluke is they work better as friends than as a couple.

hanleia is a whoooooole different thing. y'all know i despise george lucas and one of the biggest reasons for that is how he developed han and leia's relationship.
if you watch a new hope you'll notice she's GENUINELY not interested in han!!!!! at least not romantically!!!! and the dude's written like a total creep. he knows she's not interested. he knows she's even ANNOYED by him and yet he continues pursuing him until esb when the k*ss happens. tbh i don't want to delve deeper into why it bothers me as much as it does because Trauma™, but yeah i rly hate how predatory it ended up being. and i BET if it hadn't been written like that, it'd be a very interesting relationship!!!
