If his vision was right, if he had the feeling right, Virgil was in the right place. The stalls of the market that surrounded him were filled with strange creatures, selling wares from off world. An older alien, with strange green skin approached him. His mind produced only one identifier, Olkari. They were likely an elder.
Their strange, milky eyes seemed to go right through him. “You’re different.” The words caused his breath to freeze in his chest. There were similar bi-pedals around him, how was he so different to be called out so quickly? Was it his eye-patch? Was his growth rate so fast that these other creatures could see the building of the molecules in his body?
He smiled in the face of what could quickly be his demise, and gave a soft chuckle, although it sounded forced. “What do you mean?”
“Who are you?” The voice was feminine.
“Just another consumer.” He’s long since learned to not assume gender among aliens.
They sighed, before picking up a ring that appeared to be glass. When the light of the sun went through it, iridescent light shone around them. “Then take this, it is your now child.”
How could they have known? Virgil was practically fully grown for a human, not that he was sure he was one anymore. “Keep it safe.” They took one of his tanned, calloused hands, and placed the ring in it before closing it tightly. He nodded.
“I- thank you.”
He backed away from the stall slowly. The sun was in position, and he saw two masked men, one in a BOM suit, the other most likely a paladin of Voltron. He pulled up his hand made hoodie, and went for both of them. He grabbed their arms. “You two are pretty stupid for going on a date here.” He teleported them, to the nearest of the lions of Voltron that he could feel.
A luxcite blade met his throat, and his hood was pulled down. “Virgil?” The voice was terrified, and one he hadn’t heard in real life since he teleported to the castle of lions over a year ago.
“Hey Pops.”
“You left?”
“I did.”
His eyes, his violet pupils narrowed, and he began to pace, the other Paladin looking onward, likely in confusion under their hood.
“Virgil, why on earth did you leave?”
“You weren’t there. Adam is no longer there, hasn’t been for a year.”
Violet eyes went wide. “What happened?”
Virgil shrugged. They didn’t have time. “We’ll talk about it later dad. Right now, you two need to get out of here. The Galra were alerted the moment you landed.”
@givethispromptatry I used some of your prompts, but tweaked them a bit, thanks for the ideas,
