"Your mistake was killing the paladin, mortal." Several voices spoke from the Shadows around the worm that lay bleeding on the ground.
"In her grief and anger, we were set free, you see. If you had simply injured him -" the Shadows rushed around the pathetic excuse of a being, unnaturally elongated fingers grasping at his blood-coated hair - "we would not have been set free. She has morals. Though it is doubtful she would have followed them in this case."
A whimper left the broken creature held in It's grasp, scoffing and dropping him to the ground. "Pathetic. But still...a deal is a deal, Vessel. You let us out to play...but we will allow you the final blow. That...is yours."
Void-dark eyes shifted back to a brilliant blue, now clouded over with anger. Her body resumed her more human shape, crouching down in front of the whimpering, broken man. Gin said nothing, forcing him to look into her eyes as she roughly gripped his chin. She bared her teeth, snarling at him before the blade in her gauntlet pierced his throat. She made sure she was the last thing he saw as he choked on his own blood, twisting her wrist before yanking the blade out with another snarl, and dropping him to the ground to bleed out.
He was food for the carrion birds, now. Which was more than he even deserved for taking him from her.
"She did unspeakable things to avenge you, Eirstaer." Tenerahs held the blinded mortal's essence and regailed it in the story. A single gentle chim of a song responded with a question.
"But she avenged me, yes?"
