Part one: The breakup
Aveyah “so that was weird….”
Virethien places himself next to Aveyah, talking in a low quiet tone “yeah…”
Aveyah nods and the two sit in silence for almost fifteen minutes before the silence is broken by a fuming Veladorin.
"Aveyah, I saw what happened lastnight…." Then lean elf looked down upon Aveyah with tear filled eyes. The disappointed stare left Aveyah speechless
"It was my fault Veladorin, I put her in a position where she had no other choice" Virethien spoke up, cutting Veladorins stare.
Veladorin continued to stare at Aveyah, ignoring Virethiens protest. “I had always loved you, and I regret neglecting you, but this is the end, You no longer carry my last name…”
Aveyah was struck by the words, what had she done? She threw away fifty years of her life with this man, for a single kiss, fifty years of following in the shadow of Veladorin. The person who saved her from a street corner. The person who gave her something to live for, a motive.
Aveyah stood motionless, drowning in her thoughts. “H-How could I…do this….WHY DID I DO THIS” the thought echoed in her mind “WHY WHY” Aveyah could feel her thought crawling around, festering, turning into something unspeakable. “I…I’m so sorry…”
Her thought was broken by the cracking of bones, her vision stabilized on Virethien, clutching his nose, blood pouring from between his fingers
"You son of a bitch!" Virethien takes his blood filled hand and swiftly jabs the palm at the base of his nose, repositioning it. With both hands free Virethien raises them, conjuring a small green flame and firing it right at Veladorin, clipping his right shoulder, melting the leather to his skin.
Veladorin let out a pained huff, ripping the leather from his skin, blood trickling down his chest “I guess I deserved that” Veladorin quickly straightened up “I’m going to get this tended to” glaring at Virethien as he slides down the side of the building, landing safety on the ground.
Virethien turned his gaze to Aveyah, blood still dripping from his nose “I’m so sorry”
Aveyah spoke in a calm monotone voice “I…I’ll talk to you later” and turned towards the door, walking with stiffened limbs.
Aveyah found a large pine tree and placed herself behind it, out of sight from most eyes. Without more then a few seconds passing after placing herself down she reached into her bag and pulled out every bottle of alcohol she had and popping the top of one, chugging the bottle within seconds and throwing it aside.
Aveyah turned her gaze to the tree she was leaning on let out powerful punch, slamming her fingers into the crevices of the tree, causing her knuckles to trickle blood. She paused to look at the hand and frowned, reaching it over to grab another bottle, popping the cap and chugging it. Aveyah started to huff loudly, her breath quickening, scared of what was happening reached to the tree and punched it again, releasing a small squeak of pain. She raises her hands, both red with blood and started to cry, the tears blurred her vision and she struck the tree three more times. Screeching in pain at every hit. Aveyah stood up quickly and let the blood drip from her fingers to the grass below.
She raises them, her vision shaken and blurred. Aveyah lets out a scream and hits both of her fist into the tree at once, cracking the bones in both of her knuckles, causing immense pain but still giving her a small amount of motion. With the limited motion she had she reached down and grabbed another bottle, almost unable to hold it. She weakly popped the cap after struggling with it for a couple minutes and chugged it.
Her vision faded.
Aveyah eyes jutted open. Her surroundings were different, the air was cold and the area around her was dark. Aveyah calmly sat up and moved her hands around her, pausing at the warmth that her finger tips felt. “H-Hello…” Aveyah meekly called out
The voice returned her quiet words “Aveyah my love, what’s the matter? Why are you awake at this hour?” Veladorins voice cooed from beside her in the large bed.
"W-Where am I?" Aveyah whispered to Veladorin
"Northrend of course, now get some rest, we have a big day tomorrow. Something about fighting a lich"
Aveyah pulled her hands in close, trying to catch her breath then reached down, attempting to grab the blankets to cover herself but there were none to be found, she turned her body and reached out for Veladorin again, only to be greeted by the side of his bed empty. Aveyah curled into a ball and laid in the centre of the bed, weeping. Her skin burned from the cold and she was to afraid to get up, the room was so dark and she was alone.
Aveyah regained her vision.
