#violet parigny

Located on Adams Street in Boston, Massachusetts, Dorchester Cottage is a 4 storey house built from maroon bricks that looks something like this:

Anyway, overall, it’s a pretty good and affordable place and Violet is close to her relatives on her mom’s side and her boyfriend here.

All three families reside in the complex, but Violet moved there with her mother and sister after Nicolas Parigny’s untimely passing. That’s what happens when half the family’s income is gone.

Currently, the Parigny family lives in an apartment on the third floor. It has two bedrooms and Violet detests having to share her bedroom with her “goody goody two shoes” strict sister. They used to have separate bedrooms in their previous apartment after all, and Violet would rather keep things that way if she could. But hey, at least Emilie hasn’t found Violet’s drawings depicting Marianne and Desaix as a couple. Yes, she ships those two and I’m sure that won’t cause any awkwardness whatsoever...

In fact, Violet is incredibly jealous of Marianne and Desaix upon meeting them in the past and learning that they have pretty nice estates (as nobles do) despite technically being poor. Somehow these two nobles turned out less spoiled than Violet...

Michelle, Violet’s cousin, lives quite literally next door, to the left of her apartment, and she attends the same school as her older cousins so they see each other on the daily, which is one of the few things Violet likes about living where she does.

As for Zane, he and his father live in a 1 room apartment on the second floor and has a reputation of a major troublemaker, which he earned. He is much worse than Violet and he is the main bad influence in her life, so it’s not surprising that she isn’t allowed to invite him over. The proximity makes sneaking out easier though, so there’s that.
