Page 1 & 2. ---- Young Giants’ Terror Reign Told in Court ---- GOVERNOR HURT --- Sudbury, Oct. 7 — A story of terror in the Sudbury district jail on the evening of September 20, when a giant young convict went berserk and beat three jail officials before Sudbury city police intervened was related fully for the first time today in police court by the three officials and three other prisoners in the same corridor of the jail. The details of the fracas came in the preliminary hearing of Clifford Montgomery.
Charges Total Seven It resulted In him being committed to trial at the fall assizes on four serious charges. He will face serious charges at the fall assizes which open on October 17, as he was awaiting trial on three other offences when he went on the rampage. Governor of the Jail, W. H. O'Leary, Guard George McKeown, and Turnkey John Swan, told the court of the terrific beating they took at the hands of the enraged Montgomery, only 20 years of age, and of the almost unbelievable strength of the man who weighs about 210 pounds and stands more than six feet in height. They told of the convict smashing an iron bed into pieces and than swinging one end of the bed in one hand and swinging Turnkey Swan around is the air by his hair.
Governor O'Leary had most of his teeth ruined when he took a blow across the mouth from Montgomery's flailing bed stead. Guard McKeown was laid up for two weeks with injuries to his face from Montgomery's steel flats and iron weapon, while Turnkey Swan testified of the brutal pounding and smashing he got when he tackled the giant desperado. All three said they were finally beaten down In corridor No. 7 of the Jail by Montgomery, who then fled to the governor's private quarter and then headed for the governor’s office where police captured him.

'Inside the BDS lions' den'
'The BDS movement hides behind slogans of values and justice, but its wheels are greased with extremism, encouraging a violent struggle. And, silently and quietly, even anti-Semitism. If this is the kind of discourse the BDS movement is trying to preserve on university campuses, I thought to myself while I was exiting the building into a rainy London Saturday, then – in the name of my free speech – I'll stand up and say: We cannot let this go on.'
