In A Road's Journey, at what age does one commonly start their pokemon journey? Are you restricted to lab starters, or could you use a different pokemon as your starter?
The starting age for a Pokemon journey in A Roads Journey is 10 years old, but they must pass a qualification exam to be allowed a PokĂŠdex and Trainer ID to be allowed to purchase pokĂŠballs and acquire more pokĂŠmon and take on the gym challenge. So since thereâs an entrance examination, the ages of the trainers vary, for instance some trainers are 10, some at 14/15 like Gary and Jamie, whilst others are older.
And no, any PokĂŠmon can be the new trainers starter. If they grew up with a Growlithe, that Growlithe can become their starter, if their parents brought them a Dratini, that can be their starter. Lab starters are usually for Trainers whose household income is lacking or if they want a lab starter. Hence why Jamie has a Pikachu, it was the only PokĂŠmon on hand within the lab, plus they couldnât release the fucker because heâd just go back to his old bad habits of stealing.
In Bobby's Tale, is magic a common thing? How is it viewed? Is it like a sign of status, or rather a stigma?
Magic is common.
Itâs like electricity to us, itâs there and taken for granted. Usually Mages are seen as equals to humans, whilst the mages themselves look at themselves as higher standing than humans.
Then there are humagis, humans who ended up getting imbued with a magic crystal and gaining magic because of it. Theyâre an awkward bunch and rare, so some look down on them (humans or mages) whilst others see them as equals or some see them as âhigherâ but theyâre usually stoners.

thank you!! :D
6. Who is your strongest dragon? Who is your most skilled?
Strongest by sheer muscle would probably be Jebel or Romar, since both of them are accustomed to hard physical labor.Â
Iâm going to interpret most skilled as physically in this case, because ShiâKahr has a lot of craftspeople and artists whose abilities would be hard to quantify against one another. TâBren is the most accomplished warrior, as she spends most of her time training hard and learning new forms and strategies from passing dragons. Shran would probably take offense to that assertion as the clanâs other main warrior, but heâs only good for punching things. Â
12. Do your healers accompany your warriors to battle or do they stay at the lair?
ShiâKahr is largely pacifistic, and itâs only under great duress that theyâd take up arms in any significant way - if theyâre going to battle something is very, very wrong. Any battle would probably be in defense of the lair, and so the healers would be there anyway.Â
22. How clean is your clanâs image? Are they really that way?
Theyâre about as clean as you can get - they offer sanctuary to almost anyone, and do little to provoke animosity. Itâs more likely that dragons wonât have heard of them, since their primary mode of defense is being hard to find.Â
22a. If they do have a clean image but do shady, underhanded business, how is it kept under wraps? Have there ever been times your clan has almost been figured out?
Iâll answer this sub-question because, while the clan as a whole doesnât do shady business, a few dragons do in secret. Sivath makes a good part of her living smuggling questionable goods through ShiâKahr, using magic and a good dose of charisma to convince everyone she just has a very lucrative cider business.Â
31. What is your clanâs main goal? Does it have one? If so, how did it come about?
ShiâKahrâs main goal is to offer a place of sanctuary to any who wish to live peacefully. Beyond that, they try to embrace and respect the differences between various peoples, believing that understanding others can only bring better understanding of oneself.Â
39. Which of your dragons would be most likely to turn against your clan? What would make them do such a thing (this isnât to say that it would, itâs just a hypothetical)?
Sivath would, if she felt her cover might be blown - sheâs been on the run before, and if she felt her position would be stronger if ShiâKahr no longer existed she wouldnât hesitate to betray them. Most others in the clan either believe in its goals too strongly - or are far too comfortable with the tranquil life it offers - to want the clan to come to harm.Â
53. Who contributes the most to your clanâs treasure hoard?
Thatâd be Simahr, no doubt. She acts as a liaison between craftspeople in the clan and dragons elsewhere, since most of those craftspeople have zero business sense and would just putter along doing their thing and letting perfectly nice goods pile up in ShiâKahr. She takes a considerable cut of the profits, but enough of it goes to the artisans and the clan vaults that everyoneâs happy.Â
60. Whoâs the clan troublemaker(s) and who has to clean up the mess?
Tekav is the worst of the troublemakers - heâs not malicious, by any means, heâs just got a wonky sense of whatâs fun and a talent for finding trouble. Depending on the magnitude of the current disaster, itâd either fall to Teknat to patch Tekav up (since heâs got an unfortunate proclivity for clumsiness) or Kuvak to calm everyone down.Â
74. Is breeding done only between mates? Freely? For the good of the clan?
Inside lore, mates only - or occasionally close friends who both happen to like kids. Outside of lore, there is no logic, only poor impulse control.Â

ooh thank you! :D
2. Why did they choose this Flight?
Surak chose Light because its truth-seeking nature appealed to him - he is always questioning his own morals and personal philosophies, and wanted to live in a place that would facilitate that journey.Â
8. Who founded the clan?
That would be Surak. Fleeing war and conflict, he stumbled upon the ruins that would one day be rebuilt into ShiâKahr, and felt he could make a home there. Remembering his own wanderings and struggle, he decided to open his clan to any who needed sanctuary.Â
16. Are all dragons in the clan expected to contribute in some way? Or are they left to their own devices?
Surak believes in letting the members of his clan live as they choose, so while a dragonâs clanmates may not like them much if they donât do anything, they wonât be booted from the clan by any means. Most do find something useful to occupy their time with eventually.
28. How does apparel work in your clan? Are any pieces of apparel status symbols, or indicators of the role the dragon has?
Apparel is generally just apparel, though it will tell you something of the dragonâs occupation or means in most cases. If theyâre wearing every possible silk, theyâve likely accumulated significant personal wealth; TâBrenâs full armor is indicative of her position as head guard; Darius and Tok are covered in flowers since they work in the gardens. The most significant apparel, lore-wise, is rings - only the romantic pairs of my clan, as opposed to just breeding pairs, will wear rings to symbolize that commitment.Â
34. Who hoards what? Do the dragons each have a personal hoard, or is there one big storage area?
The official clan vault doesnât hold any dragonâs personal hoard, and doesnât make it its business to accumulate any particular items. However, a few dragons do maintain collections of certain things. Azeraikâs lair is full of sparkly little trinkets and baubles, many of them glasswork heâs done himself. Kirikintha has a collection of gemstones that help her channel and control her telepathy. Sivath hoards the apples she grows in the form of mulled ciders and other spirits. Sadzhik hoards scents as inspiration for his perfumes - whether thatâs oils, flowers, or herbs - as well as tokens from past companions.Â
43. Who's the cinnamon roll, and who's the problematic fave?
hoo boy.Â
cinnamon rolls: Taurik, Svaid, Teknat
problematic faves: Naliveh, Sivath, Sadzhik
moon
The Obscuring Lights, the Balances, the Judges, the Casters, the Guides, the Shadowbinderâs Eyes... The moons of Sornieth are known by many names, but it is evident that they are special to the denizens of the Tangled Wood. Many hail them as a symbol of the Shadowbinderâs power, and frequently adopt one or the other as part of their clan sigils.
It is by the light of the moons that most of the citizens of the kingdom preform their day to day tasks. All the important ceremonies, rituals, and celebrations take place at night, and some are even specific to a certain phase of the moon! During the waning crescent every 3 months for example... well, letâs not get into all that blood business.
