Event Horizon
Dan sat studiously at his desk, his eyes drifting from notes to screen to archaic-looking book. The life of a psychiatrist was far more reading oriented than certain tropes and idioms made it appear. He sighed, rubbing his nose. His last appointment of the day was due in sometime soon, so he might as well brace for that.
He pulled a fresh notepad from his desk drawer and and moved to his highbacked chair that faced the standard therapist couch [tropes and idioms after all]

Charla woke up groggily at first, but once aware of her surroundings, she was terrified. A thick gag between her teeth with her arms and legs strapped to some type of operating table. And she was stark naked. She tried the bonds many times and tried screaming for help, but nothing worked. She was already crying, scared, worried.
