I’m watching a Norwegian horror movie, Villmark. So far the most unsettling moment was when the characters entered a cabin where I personally know must have at least ten billion spiders.

“The crew of the TV show "Real TV" with controlling boss Gunnar on the front line will soon begin production of a reality show for which participants are selected to survive in the wilderness. Gunnar has gathered a production team of four people: The friends Lasse and Per , the Swedish girl Elin and the new girl Sara. To test his new employees, Gunnar takes them to a log cabin where he used to spend summers as a kid. The cabin is located far away from civilisation, hidden in the dark, mysterious woods. The team has to make it through a weekend, finding food that nature has to offer, and neither cellular phones nor cigarettes are allowed. When Lasse and Per find a dead body in a lake near the cottage, the group is being tested. Gunnar is suggesting that they should continue the weekend without mentioning anything to Sara and Elin about what they found. But soon the team experiences some escalating incidents which lead to paranoia, accusations and mistrust."

Villmark ("Wilderness", Dark Woods) is a Norwegian thriller horror from 21st of February, 2003. It was written and directed by Pål Øie with Christopher Grøndahl as co-writer. Because of murder and murder attempts, the movie is rated 15+.
Villmark did very well on cinema, and is often credited for bringing the thriller genre back in Norwegian film. It was also nominated for two Amanda Awards in 2003; Best Film and Best Male Actor (Christopher Joner as Lasse).
A sequel is in the works to be released in 2015.

The TV-station RealTV are going to make a reality series where the competitors are going to survive without any tools in the wilderness. To connect the film crew through team-building, their boss Gunnar decides that they are going to go through the same. He takes them to a cabin far into the woods, where the five of them are going to make it through the weekend with no food, cellphones or cigarettes. The team, made out of Lasse, Per, Elin and Sara, follow reluctantly.
Eventually, Lasse and Per stumble over an abandoned campsite. Tent, food and clothes look undisturbed, but Lasse gets a bad feeling. When Per finds a dead woman in the pond, the sinister situation has become a fact. Gunnar pushes Lasse and Per to keep quiet about what they have discovered until the trip is over, but it does not take long before it dawns on them that they are in great danger.
