yeah, i. i’ve sort of come to that conclusion myself. i don’t really wanna deal with all of this tbh, i just wanna enjoy this headcanon for its full value, both as an opportunity for people to feel represented and to explore and immerse myself in another potential layer of reap76.

Yes good! But it’s very difficult to like pinpoint these foods and say they are Macedonian. We were occupied by the Ottoman empire for 500 years so everything they brought with them from foods to clothes and customs we sort of adapted it to ourselves. And then took in from the other Balkan nations hence why different parts of Macedonia have different customs and such so you can’t say this is 100% Macedonian foods. So like lokum and stuff are Turkish in origin but we make them too, so at this point it’s about a brand.

I must admit I don’t know polish foods, in fact I only know foods from the Turkish cuisine since they are close to ours and a lot made and sold here by the turkish people living here. But usually these vids are from Americans and Brits so it’s funny since I expect them to not know what a lokum is or how to eat halva and complain that it breaks and that there is powdered sugar.
