Gemma had been running, hopping from place to place, constantly looking over her shoulder. It had been months since Gemma got a good night's sleep, nowhere felt safe, at least not for extended periods. Somehow people found out she escaped the Red Room, painting a target on her back. Sighing, tired legs carried themselves to the fourteenth hotel this month, and it was only two and a half weeks into the month. However, many seemed booked, “of course, because why wouldn’t they be.” Walking out of the place, she shoved her hands into her pockets. Gemma could not go back to her apartment. At least, not for a long while. It was not safe there. Not by a long shot. While walking in the streets, Gemma typed in several locations on her phone, figuring out what place might have an opening. While turning a corner, she bumped into someone, dropping and, unfortunately, breaking her phone. “Shit… God damn it,” glancing up, Gemma rolled her eyes and muttered a few more things before speaking. “Sorry, are you okay? Didn’t hurt you, right? I was taking that corner pretty quickly.”
