mobOS is a game project that’s been in development for about a year now. It is by far the most passionate I have ever felt about a project in my entire life, the goal is to essentially make a “computer sandbox” game, a fake operating system that focuses heavily on the operating system part. I believe that the operating system should be as accurate as possible functionally to real ones in order to create the most immersive gameplay. mobOS will not only be an insanely immersive tool to tell a story, but it will also be a tool to create. Players will be able to make content in game using a fully featured paint program, website builder program, desktop pet builder program, etc.
The File Explorer
The file explorer, named “Rover” is a 100% functional file explorer that accesses a real directory of files.
The Internet Browser
This a very work in progress application as of right now. All websites can be loaded as external files in its own system as compared to HTML.
As the game develops, this post will be updated with more solidified information. This game is in very early development and you can follow its development through my blog posts here.
