Nvdes is a creative collective curated, produced and co-performed by Josh Ocean. The project's recurring symbol, a cantaloupe, embodies its spirit of self-discovery, free experimentation, and an unrestrained indulgence in the juicy, ripe fruit of pop music.  

THIS VIDEO , is so unique! I have to say when I first watched it my jaw dropped. I was in shock with the graphics, but simultaneously in aww with the ingenious creativity. Its a  true depiction of expression and experimentation & the comments and reactions get even more creative (& entertaining) 

I am a huge Lucius fan. Honestly, their music/persona/good ol’ fashion talent is truly enough to get me. But then I saw THIS. A live stop-motion music video made of people and prosthetics and 3,107 still photographs. The video has Jess Wolfe sitting across from what seems to be a twin version of herself. The twin keeps touching Jess, moving and molding her face throughout the whole song. We don’t see the twin’s face until the very end, and we see that it is a prosthetic version of Jess. The end of the video switches out Jess for co-singer, Holly. This video is POWERFUL! 

It sounds like she’s talking to an ex or someone who has impacted her life, but I like to think that she’s talking to an old version of herself who has made choices to affect future Jess’ life. Maybe it was letting that certain toxic person stay around for too long and losing sense of self. Hence, going insane. I don’t know what Holly and Jess intended for this video, but it gave me chills thinking about what it meant to me and my own life. I think if you can make anyone feel something with your art and music, and they can interpret what it means to them in their own life, you’ve done your work as an artist.
