I mean, yeah, Let Me Count the Ways and all that, but at the moment I'm thinking about how infrequently people make us have to skip posts because they're videos (who doesn't hate having to watch something that takes 10× as long to learn what we could read in a few seconds)

and when a video does appear, I appreciate how folks add "sound on" knowing that Tumblr users typically hate videos, so that's the signal "no, really, this one's worth it"

Reels and TikToks and whatever the hell else being shoved down social media users' throats can all go to Hades. if I really want to watch a video, I'll visit my YouTube blorbos subscriptions page
