There’s probably some other little things I would do, and it also depends on what kind of apocalypse, but that’s just the basic steps I would take.

Honestly I don’t even know where to begin.

There’s the obvious where it’s become all I think about as any good obsession does, but it’s made me think about some things.

One of the things is something you mentioned where Grace was treated as less because he was single with no family or really any friends. It made me realize how much people are seen as not valuable enough if they don’t have someone to dedicate their life to; and just because Grace is lonely in that sense doesn’t mean he doesn’t still have people or things in his life that he cares about. For example, his students or his job. He was also treated as expendable when he was trying to find out what the astrophage was because of that.

The survivors guilt I’m sure both characters face, the fact that Rocky probably spent the entirety of Grace’s life up there by himself with dead crew mates and no explanation as to how they died. The fact that Grace was expected to, and still wanted to, save humanity after they did what they did to him. The fact that his students will probably never know the full extent of what happened to their favorite teacher. I am also happy that this is a movie that isn’t centered around romance, or that they added a love interest to make it more “interesting” as a lot of movies have nowadays.

What is a future boy comes and I try to get it back AGAIN and don’t listen to my team AGAIN. Big brother gets captured, and I blame myself and future boy who had no idea that would happen. Then we try to save said brother, and he’s turned brainwashed by pieces of chewed gum, and then future boy tells me the future, and then I feel even more guilty. Then I accidentally send big forehead brother into what I would later learn was a disgusting yucky chewed gum control panel that traumatized him. Then I get my brothers back and we try to fight pink squares, and then I sacrifice myself because I believe it will make up for what almost became the end of the world, and then orange brother almost sacrifices himself to get me out of prison. DID I GET IT? DO I WIN??

Sorry this took so long to answer, I really had to think about it lol

I suppose it depends on the iteration. I’m most familiar with 2012 and Rise so I suppose I’ll give my 2 cents with those iterations.

I relate to all of them in little ways but I think out of all of them I relate to either Mikey or Donnie the most. Although I will say I don’t like how in 2012 Mikey is just used as a stupid comedic relief and is seen as only that to some people. But that’s another story for another time!

I relate to the most Mikey for his love of art, and cooking, him trying to make anyone happy anytime he can, and for his silly personality overall. I relate to Donnie because of the more factual over emotional responses, for his love of nerdy science things and learning more, and again, for his personality. In fact I think my personality is just all the turtle’s personalities mushed together lol. I think I relate to Leo the least, at least from what I know. I’ve never really clicked with Leo tbh 🤷‍♀️. But yk what they say, sometimes the character you least like is the one you see yourself in the most lol. Although I do relate to him being a mother hen, and his dedication to protect his loved ones. With Raph it’s about the same, his willingness to protect those he loves, Rise Raph’s mother hen tendencies, and being an older sibling.

I don’t necessarily have a favorite character, or relate to one character and one character alone because I see myself in all of them.

But anyway, with all that said, It’s really hard for me to pick one turtle because I relate to all of them and/or understand them. It genuinely depends on the day. But if I had to choose one it would be Mikey or Donnie.
