Right, and as I mentioned before, other sources indicate that context implies he was joking anyway.
It’s fine if someone want to use it as fuel for their own personal interpretation (though why anyone would want to is beyond me) but it’s incredibly misleading to spread a post like that around, even if OP meant it innocently, without doing research.

and yeah lmao, I had a lot of nanami in me when I was younger but also a lot of wakaba (the way she idealizes romance). Utena is a good show for exploring these kinds of things and reflecting them, I love it.
