Just wanted to gush a little over how much I love Tumblr’s culture. Talking in the tags, being encouraged to reblog and spread things you like to people, having such a welcoming and encouraging community telling people ‘it’s okay, infodump about your favourite topics. Dive through the myriad of posts from people sharing your interests and don’t feel bad about interacting with an older post and sharing that with your followers.
Frankly, it just feels so liberating. So much less of a drive for the posts you make to be ‘popular’ because there’s not really an algorithm here - you just look for the stuff you like and share your own stuff.
