I find very exciting thinking about ghouls still preserving the presence of a nictitating membrane + the presence of tapetum lucidum or a structure similar to it which would also coincide with them being mostly nocturnal hunters, this would also be conflicting with the fact they're also very diurnal to blend into society and having a tapetum lucidum would be a bit detrimental for the day-time eyesight.

Nakamura reported the suspect (now identified as the S rank ghoul; Lionmane) fleeting the scene as soon as it was spotted.
Harada reported no sighting of the individual when taking the photo upon questioning, but did reported prolonged and intense uneasiness combined with a sensation of being watched through her patroling. She also reported no suspicious noices after taking the photo.
