gabriel, in his own opinion, had thought he had done quite a good job at keeping his personal life away from his parents, and himself included. every time he even let them get close enough, they put their hands inside of his life and meddled in a way that only made him angry and upset, and ended up with him being the only person hurt and suffering from the consequences, while they simply moved on to the next possible scheme they felt ‘was in his best interest.’ having to constantly meet with goeun was one of those things—for whatever reason his family thought they may be a good pair, and he disagreed, primarily being the fact that the small woman’s attitude was just off putting to him. already loaded with her own judgement of him, he felt cheated that he wasn’t given a fair chance at showing who he was—an adult independent of his parents. 

out of the members of roa, mina was probably the one that needed the least amount of dance practice. but that didn’t stop her from being in the studio late into the night and practicing the steps for ‘boombayah’. generally, she had the other girls around her to criticize if she wasn’t being on point. but being on her own meant that she had to constantly check the mirror to make sure. it didn’t work for her. thankfully, her company often left parts of the studio open for non-signed dancers, which worked out mina’s favor often. “help,” she whispered into one of the rooms, knowing that a dancer was inside. and one of her favorite dancers, as it was. 

          “Come on, please? Just for tonight. I’ll take him to the shelter tomorrow, I promise,” Mackenzie pleaded, desperate. She held up the tiny puppy, his body terribly thin but his attitude easily making up for it. He wriggled in her arms wildly, trying to get down. “Look at his little face.”

if there was anything doha hated about her job, it was the parents she had to answer to and the amount of paperwork that was always on her desk in the teacher’s office no matter how much she tried to get it to go down. in the end, it was always present and never ending. some of the positives were the kids she taught, of course, and goeun, who had become a god send when she felt herself reaching the edge. the fiesty woman had become one of doha’s closest friends and she often felt herself getting the chance to vent with her, because goeun never seemed to be one to hold her feelings back, and in a sense it was exactly what doha needed sometimes, especially with having to hold her own opinions back from parents and sometimes other teachers.
