a short vid by VIC 161 (MG) of early throw ups and pieces 'SIMON-007 in this clip is from the same day as I did the TEMPO piece. We never saw this car running, I went to the 6-line and I only have this foto cause KASE gave it to me. He only caught part of the car cause the train was pulling away when he and BUTCH-2 were getting off their train' as told by VIC 161 (MG) from @vic_161 instagram

vic_161 “I did this BOOTS piece in January of 1974 in the 2-yard. I, SIMON-007 & BOOTS-119 were hanging out in BOOTS’ kitchen one night during a blizzard. I drew up this outline while we were eating peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. The Welches grape jelly, at that time, came in jars with WB characters (BUGS BUNNY) that could be used as glasses when finished. I got the heart balloons from the jelly jar and added them to the outline cause they accented the heart O’s. It stopped snowing around 11:00 pm and the snow was knee deep. BOOTS said “let’s go to the yard, you gotta do this piece”! He had to talk me into it, SIMON helped do that. It actually was a perfect night for piecing. The only colors we had were one can each of Red-Devil gloss black, delta blue, & burnt orange (nice color) and a small can of lavender model paint. Off we went. When we got to the yard, trudging through all that snow with those cans tucked inside our jackets to keep them from freezing, it was the quietest I can ever remember. We climbed the fence by the guard shack and used a branch with dead leaves to brush away our footprints. The snow drifts were thigh high. We went to the far lane by the barn, there lo and behold was an entire train of clean cars, lit! No wind, freezing cold air, eerily quiet. Between trains the snow drifts were waist deep, my little brother was almost covered. BOOTS wiped the ice streams off the car, I took my glove off, asked him for the orange, popped the cap and psssst….that sound!!!! BOOTS filled in the black, my hands were freezing. SIMON gave me the blue. It seemed as if the paint was bonding better to the car because of the cold? BOOTS says “don’t forget to do the floating hearts” I said “forget it, there’s ice I can’t stand up there”….he said “get on my shoulders” and he carried me to each side of the piece…he really wanted those hearts up there! Gimme the little can…lavender outline, nice. BOOTS says “needs splashes” he does those and outlines the cloud in orange…needs black dots in the splashes. Yes it does! Back on his shoulders to outline those fuckin’ hearts. We took this foto the following spring from the 2-yard barn roo".
