I love this 'Welcome to Chapeltown park - bridge of friends.' And then some idiot has only gone and spoilt it by sticking an England flag over the word 'friends' - That's Reform voters for you. ðŸ˜
ETA. You have to cross a small stream to enter the park. It's supposed to be a memorial bridge to all volunteers who've maintained the park in the past and since passed away.

Steel city photo dump. These are the photos I took around Park Hill flats on my phone.
Here is the beautiful Gaia / Mother Earth installation. It was designed by Sarah Eberle, and is situated next to the Park Hill flats in Sheffield city centre. I love the contrast of the brutalist architecture against the sleeping nature goddess - it feels as though it shouldn't work, but it does. The construction of this has dominated my Facebook and Instagram feeds for weeks, so I've been bursting to see the finished piece. The garden was officially opened yesterday (Friday 7th August 2026.) I believe that Gaia will eventually have flowers growing all over her. I think the hot dry weather we've been having has proven a problem for planting.

'Veganism is not a diet', graffiti at Scarborough, North Yorkshire, UK. Taken June 2018. I'm still not sure if this is a pro or anti-vegan statement - which I think is actually the point. It could be read either way depending on your stance. Or perhaps this graffiti I found nearby holds the answer?
