This revision is some slow going. I’m not sure it’s ACTUALLY going slower than Salty did but right now it sure freaking feels that way

So among the other ways in which I’m a nerd, I like to look for face claims for my historical fiction characters in actual historical photos. This is late 19th century broadway actress, Minnie Ashley, and she is such a dead ringer for Daisy Faye, the protagonist of Ashy WIP, that I seriously thought she had walked out of my own imagination, perfect in every big eyed, dark haired, sweetly round-faced detail.
My back burner project has officially jumped the queue and is now my side quest while revising the WIP already in progress so that’s interesting
Thought it might help with my writing today if I lit a candle beside me as I work.
Turns out the candle is the exact same shape and size as my glass of water.
Guess who came within two inches of shooting back hot cedar-scented molten wax while not looking just now
Hey friends! A different sort of an ask from me today: An important character in a project I’m working on right now has epilepsy. I’ve done a fair bit of research, but I’m wondering if anyone I know who has epilepsy might be willing to talk with me a little bit and answer a few questions about your experiences living with and managing it? I’m hoping get a sense of folks’ lived experience (rather than just seeing what medical professionals have to say about it which is where my research keeps leading me)so that I can be both respectful and as accurate as possible.
I’m also hoping once I have this draft in a decent shape for beta readers, you might be willing to have a look at it specifically for the sake of calling me out if I do misstep, because getting this right is important to me.
If this sounds like something you might be interested in helping with, please feel free to slide into my DM’s and say hi. Thank you so much.

Last Line Meme
Rules: in a new post, show the last line you wrote and tag as many people as there are words in the line. Tagged by @scifrey (thank you!) I’ll tag @brightmouth, @kcrabb88, @mysunfreckle @theteaisaddictive and @jannagnoelle and then I’m knocking off because this line is too long and I need to get on with my life lol Last line of Chapter 18 in my current WIP:
The sweet, hot thing I chased caught me, burning away thoughts at last, and dropped me trembling back into my sweating skin to cool and catch breath, and be swallowed whole by sleep without thinking another thing at all.
Today, in feral lines from the WIP:
If she'd been in arm's reach, I'd have ripped her heart out, and eaten it raw in front of her, just to show her I could be as cruel as she was.
What I have written today, I am so sad I cannot just share with everyone RIGHT NOW, but sadly this tale is a long way from public consumption at this point. So will have to scream privately in my own room about how much I LOVE these charactersÂ
