Travelling to the Italian Riviera...The "Lovers' Lane".
The "Lovers' Lane" is a romantic itinerary considered perhaps the most famous hiking trail in Italy. The cliff-edge path links the village of Riomaggiore with that of Manarola, giving yousome breath-taking views. Built during the works to complete the railway, it was a way for the workers to reach their place of work. Today, following an extension, it is the quickest route between these two towns of the Cinque Terre. A number of benches along the path give a moment of respite so you can admire the breath-taking views. To complete this romantic itinerary, the Lovers' Tunnel: an entire wall of hearts and love letters written by couples who have walked here.
La "Via dell'amore" rappresenta un itinerario romantico ed è considerato forse il sentiero escursionistico più famoso d'Italia. Il sentiero a picco sulla scogliera, collega il centro abitato di Riomaggiore con il paesino di Manarola, regalando panorami mozzafiato. Costruito durante l'opera di completamento della ferrovia, consentiva agli operai di poter raggiungere il luogo di lavoro. Oggi, in seguito ad un ampliamento, costituisce la via più breve che unisce i due paesi delle cinque terre. Numerose panchine, dislocate lungo il sentiero, permettono di soffermarsi ad ammirare il meraviglioso panorama. Per concludere questo romantico itinerario, il tunnel degli innamorati, un'intera parete occupata da cuori o frasi d'amore scritte dalle coppie che hanno percorso la via.
