2) we got more about pecco joining the academy and his first interaction with Uccio that told him "u should smile more". Infamous uccio quote here on tumblr that make people go "evil uccio and vale they're so evil literally the devil" conspiracy. Actually pecco explains what happened and guess what it wasnt uccio being evil! shocking! pecco says it was 2013, a terrible year for him, his team was basically bullying him and he lived a terrible year. Uccio saw that and the first time he approached pecco was to tell him that he would like to see him happier, "u should smile more" COZ THIS IS YOUR FIRST YEAR IN THE WORLD CAHMPIONSHIP, THIS IS YOUR DREAM, pls pecco dont be so sad! 5 races later he came back and asked pecco to join the academy, the move that chaged pecco's life and career for the better.

3) his 4th championship celebration would have been led zeppelin inspired, his fan club would have brought him a platinum disc !

4) bez strongest point is his ability to "girare stretto", close the corners super tight (i guess thats how i would translate it but mmmh italians help)

5) the first time he joined the academy he took him some times to actually enter the friend group and they did some pranks on him, but it was all in good fun and they all became very close

6) also, his fav part of the weekend is the quali ... casey's daughter! (as @kwisatzworld said <33333)

7) he said hes very hard on himself and very much a "realist" so he likes to have people around that are more optimistic and that can bring him joy, thats why he really liked luca salvadori as a person and a friend

like thats the thing! valentino always wanted to race! he wanted to have fun at his core! it was much less about his desire to win (ofc everyone wantes to win ofc everyone is competitive but its not just that!) thats the difference!!!

okay! how can we start this sete/vale intro post without mentioning the founder of sete/vale on tumblr: mr batsplat (unfortunately lost in the void right now, she'll forever be missed!)! ... so this is THE MASTERPOST then again another great post by bat is this one about brno 2003 ... speaking of brno 2003

id definitely recommend watching some fundamental vale/sete races: 2003 sachsering and brno < the start of their rivalry pretty much, vale is on the winning honda, incredible bike, hes won back to back championships, he seems unstoppable there's only one problem ... honda! honda and their politics and the journalists all saying vale is winning just because of the bike, the atmosphere inside of the honda box is glacial and crucially vale is not having fun anymore!

then 2004 is truly the golden year for their rivalry! vale has moved to yamaha, a flop bike till the year before that with vale help is getting better and better, still not on the same level ad the honda ... except vale is literally insane taht year. sete is the perfect title rival, hes on an honda, he battling vale for the championships and things are gonna turn pretty ugly (mandatory races: mugello, catalunya, assen, philipp island) (those are my favs from that year but batsplat did a great post about best sete/vale races here!)

then ofc id recommend looking thru @bikefuckersoftheworldunite! truly a sete/vale historian! with a lot of footage, photos and interestinmg posts about them! (some of my (and hers) favs: this , this , ibiza tag about vale/sete adventures in ibiza (sounds like rpf but its actually canon loollll), thiss , thissssss, oh and this!
