*lore context: trip and ember had a few quick clashes before this, including one time where trip saved ember from falling off a building (teleportation powers always come in clutch). in between then and now, ember has been thinking about "the cute boy who was actually nice to her that one time" (she has issues she needs to work out). while trying to convince herself she doesn't have a crush on this random guy she doesn't even know, he shows up (again) to save her (again).
