         “Sometimes I just feel like i’m chasing a pipe dream, and I should just give up and be a lawyer like my parents want me to be.” Valerie said her eyes nearly filling with tears. “I’m just tired of meeting these producers and never hearing from them again, it’s awful. Maybe I’m just not as good as I think I am.” 

     It was her birthday and the only person she wanted to spend her time with was Elijah, so when he agreed to hang out she was excited. Val had a bunch of plans for them. Getting their tattoos, dinner, dessert, a movie back at her place. She just wanted to spend the whole day of her twenty-fourth birthday with him. Surprise him with the fact that she got approved for her husky Kiwi and got to bring him home the past Thursday. She was so happy, at this moment, her life felt so complete. Valerie put on a strapless short black dress and strappy black flats, she figured when it became time for the tattoo she’d just cover her breasts and pull the dress down a little. Val was light on her makeup and let her thick dark brown hair down to rest against her back, part of it tucked behind her right ear. She didn’t feel twenty-four, but she definitely felt sexy. Adding a deep red lip to her natural look, she nodded to herself in the mirror of her bathroom and grabbed her things before saying goodbye to Gizmo and Kiwi then walking out the door. She planned to meet Elijah at Xavier’s tattoo studio, waiting outside for him as she texted him to let him know she was there. //@elijahparks

                “Okay, how did that sound? DId it flow or should I re-up the lyrics?” Valerie asked Zane as she turned back to him and smiled. She liked the song, but she always looked forward to her friend’s opinions and critiques. It helped her get better.  @zaneneptune

             Valerie looked over at WInter as they had lunch, biting her lip. “So, I think I might really like this guy I met a little while ago.” She said, filling the silence. Val didn’t usually get involved with anyone romantically, and anyone that knew her knew that. The brunette was so focused on getting her career going that she couldn’t entertain the idea of having a boyfriend but he just crept up on her and she wasn’t doing anything to stop it. // @winterbaldwin

           Valerie was sitting at the bar with one of her roommates when she heard the piano playing and being a musician it was literal music to her ears. Valerie turned to see who was playing and was taken back by the beautiful girl, she seemed so concentrated on the keys and Val felt a pull to her. She excused herself from her roommate and took out a five to tip this piano girl. “You do a beautiful job.” She said, slipping the five into the glass tip jar and leaned against the piano to watch her play a little. Valerie loved this song and felt compelled to sing along with it. Usually Valerie wouldn’t do something like this but she was feeling brave today. Maybe it was the alcohol. // @vivianhenrix

             “ Are you down to be, a distraction baby...” Valerie sang as she walked down the empty streets of Crownsville. She had just gotten out of work and her house as a short distance from Ava’s so she decided to walk. Of course, she didn’t realize how late she’d get out of work and she was nervous. Singing helped her feel less alone. “Do you, do you, do you wanna be...” She continued to sing until she saw someone and got silent, lowering her head she must’ve not calculated her walking away strategy because she bumped into them and sighed. “I’m sorry.” Val said, taking out one of her headphones.
