this is 10000% a rei trope.  she just cares so much about everyone – she’s the kind of girl you’d find healing the enemy purely because she can’t stand to see anyone die, even if they hurt her.  she’s the kill ‘em with kindness type of girl; she’s so pure that even grouchy old genji ends up rooting for her, despite at first believing her to be insufferably naïve.  to have suffered so much and to still be kind and soft takes a whole different kind of strength than you’ll find in any of the other characters you’ll find on this blog.

     鮫 --- It was a day like no other. The sun was shining brightly overhead and the breeze hit against pale flesh as if he was standing next to an oven. To be quite honest, Suigetsu was never a fan of the desert, but here he was running errands for a group of people that were too lazy to do it themselves. The heat was getting to him as his lips sucked against the tip of his straw with growing anxiety. “Why did they pick me to come all of the way out here? They must be trying to kill me again.” The voice only reflected the exhaustion that was beginning to bear down on his already lazy bones. That’s when lilac pools fell upon the slim figure in the distance. 

An irritated twitch of an eye was the only gesture he could muster as he slumped ever closer to the burning sands of Sunagakure.
