HE LOOKS AT HER in wonder - his eyes widen as she moves over him suddenly & secures herself a place in his lap. He barely has time to admire her ( though his eyes flicker to her lines, her form, her contours & shadows & edges, he drinks her in & wishes that there was not any space between them ) before she grabs his face & pulls it up to meet hers.
Their lips meet & it is all things at once. It is the sound of fireworks, it is the shaking of an earthquake, it is the deepest warmth imaginable, & he does not need to come up for air because it is breath itself that passes between them. He closes his eyes & lets his hands do what they will ---- they end up at her back, pulling her towards him urgently & insistently.
There is a mix of tenderness & need which drives him, a craving for intimacy & a desire for her - she might have initiated this, but he does everything in his power to keep it going, in perpetuity.
Because he is cracked & broken, he is still attempting to fit his pieces back together to make some semblance of a whole person with a whole heart. Before her, he had been attempting to do so on his own, but it had proven to be impossible ... He prays that there will never be an after her, because she is the glue that is holding him together - but he was not the way he had been, he is something new, something beautiful under her hand, something re-crafted into a glorious masterpiece only the pair of them could devise.
