Sonic Team Silver:
Abrasive/rude and informal unlike Trunks (because he’s straightforward)
Punk type, talks like a blunt delinquent (because he’s straightforward)
Forthright, can take a compliment (a little awkward with things he doesn't know how to handle but isn't shy like Trunks), doesn’t care about romance or appearances (because he’s straightforward)
Has a cocky attitude backed up by actual power and skill but doesn't think too highly of himself
Straightforward and honest are core traits of his, being unpretentious/not putting on a facade is part of his charm, cannot tell lies
Is "pure" in the sense that he's similar to the knight Galahad, naive, straightforward and honest but still capable of being a cold righteous killer
Impatient, focused, straight to the point/doesn't care about petty details (doesn't care about Knuckles' plan name in Forces) (because he’s straightforward)
Active and headstrong (initiates all his missions himself, trains himself, temperamental/confrontational, will fight anyone that slights him)
Is impulsive because his strong emotions get the better of him (hot-headed)
Is selfless to the point of recklessness, apocalyptic backstory is primarily about fighting Iblis for most of his life for the sake of world peace and people’s smiles and being both fierce and innocent because of it
Diligent, skilled and self-serious like Blaze, her equal (hence them being in-sync), shows hyper competence in his 06 Town Missions
Confident and reliable (both directly stated on Sonic Channel)
Has Daisuke Ono’s voice in mind (Deeper voice than Sonic’s, best known for Jotaro), In English Pete Capella was going for an angry young protestor vibe but his voice was so high pitched and nasally that it was interpreted completely differently
Ian/Archie Silver:
Polite and formal like Trunks (Silver ever being rude was a foreign concept to Ian until 2024)
"Clean kid" type, talks like an ultra-polite dweeby boyscout
"Bashful", crumbles at compliments and romantic advances (shy like Trunks but even more so)
Cocky attitude is characterized as arrogance that quickly gets to his head
Putting on a facade of confidence, is not honest or straightforward, lies
Is "pure" in the sense that he's a cinnamon roll that isn't capable of exuding being cold like grim heroes like Cable according to Ian (I remind you that Silver’s first cutscene in 06 had him coldly staring down a fire tornado)
Very absent minded, unfocused, wastes time on details nobody cares about
Passive and not headstrong (doesn’t initiate missions or train unless he’s told to, doesn’t do anything about being bullied, needs people to tell him what to do instead of finding answers himself) which is why the comics (and CrossWorlds with Knuckles) constantly try to give him a mentor to tell him what to do like a dog
Is impulsive purely because he is absent minded and doesn't think before he acts (making him dumb rather than hot-headed)
Naivety is more stupid than innocent, Silver’s apocalyptic backstory is reduced to just him being lonely and not knowing anything in all three comic continuities, never talks about world peace or people’s smiles
Grossly incompetent (seems based on the interpretation that Silver failed at every turn 06 when his story is about him discovering the truth), not skilled or experienced, treated like/considered on par with children half his age (Tails), written as not even experienced with his own powers at times
Not confident or capable (both Ian and Evan have outright said this about Archie Silver) (This is one of the things they’ve fixed in recent comics)
Based on the nerdiest possible interpretation of Pete Capella's dub voice (You can tell from their Silver impression on Bumblekast), not what Pete was going for btw
Evan Silver (Responsible for most of Silver’s “uwu” and “soft” image):
Mostly the same as Archie/Ian’s Silver
Talks like Michael Cera
Cowardly (and therefore selfish)
Secretive and dishonest
Timid, has very meek and fearful body language/expressions instead of determined and aggressive ones like in the games
Neurotic and skittish (Evan loves this in characters, Gold and Belle are like this too)
Very clumsy (buys into the idea that Silver is physically frail because he’s psychic which is not true)
Very dependent on others (especially Blaze), borderline helpless, can’t even function by himself at times
This is why Silver’s character needs more explanation than “young” and “Like Trunks”.
I've never seen such a succinct and accurate lowdown on Silver's character and his bastardization.
