Picking a palette for his eyes behind the lenses in his goggles was quite the challenge. I think I did good though.
Reminder that Sonic is just as competent a pilot as Tails is. Hell, it’s too common a misconception that the Tornado belongs to Tails when in reality it belongs to Sonic. So I imagine he has the goggles and a scarf somewhere :P
Since I can't sleep and am high as fuck on sugar and caffeine right now, here's that blue pilot guy. Ready to be coloured and shaded. I'm not happy with his pointing hand there. I was never ever good at drawing hands :S This isn't a full body one, more avatar-styled. I prefer working at smaller resolutions with pixels.

Awww! Thanks so much! I stepped away from pixel art for years because I could never make a PA that measured up to my standards and I struggle with hands. But the encouragment and the fact you and others love it is a motivator, I won't lie :> Sneaky peek! I think his one rainboot is acceptable so far. I think the sole needs editing though;
Official art shows the material creasing about where his ankle would be. So I paid attention to that.
