The car ride had felt like A MILLION YEARS, when in reality their office buildings were only fifteen minutes away from each other, and Rey didnโt even have to drive to meet him here, instead he had picked her up. The entire ride, she had went into the details that she couldnโt over text, ranting to her HEARTโS CONTENT about her boss. An unrepaired coffee machine left Rey to do what one might call an internโs job.. Except there was no intern, so Rey called itย โBITCH-WORK.โ Going to get coffees and sent all around town on careless errands only to be belittled and yelled at, she had snapped and threw her bossโ coffee at him, and walked right out of work.
The decision was a poor one, but truly, it was years in the making. Her mascara was somehow still intact after all of the NEAR-SHED TEARS, and sniffling on the way here, but the look on her face said she was anything but calm.ย โ I know it was stupid, but Iโm not going back there.. I canโt go back to that place and I donโt care where I go. Iโd rather be SLEEPING ON A GODDAMN BENCH again than deal with that prick for one more minute, Iโll end up in jail if I have to. โ She said, having completely ignored Benโs opinion and advice. Sure, picking up and leaving a job on an impulse when you were one notice away from being evicted was.. Well, not wise, but REY WAS A STUBBORN ONE.
